SUMMARY

Trust puts us into an area of no control; when we give up control, we’re exercising trust.
Trust can be on two different levels: conscious and unconscious.
Consciously trusting is conditional-it involves a decision to trust or be trusted.
When making a conscious decision to trust, know who and why you’re doing it.
If trusting somebody, let it go and just trust.
If someone puts trust in you, make sure there is clarity about the situation.
After discerning trust, you will be able to give it unconditionally and wholly.

Another vision of success: a progressive realization of a worthwhile dream or goal.

It’s going towards those things that are empowering you, which you want to achieve.

Four levels of success: Survival, Stability, Success, and Significance.
Survival: Your ends are barely meeting.
Stability: You’re able to take care of yourself and maybe you have an acquisition or two.
Success: You have good things going, and you’re able to focus on some of the higher callings in life as well.
Significance: All your needs are met and you can focus on others. You can have an impact in the world.
Becoming an E5 Leader is another level of success.

Who doesn’t want to live in balance and equilibrium in the five pillars of life?

What was your definition of success as a child? Do you need to make an adjustment to gain those levels of success?
Consider strapping on the mantle of the progressive realization of a worthwhile dream or goal. It will absolutely change your life!

Purpose is what directs us on our journey in life.
If we find that our purposes have been too small, we need to get a new purpose.
With a purpose greater than yourself, you will never run out of opportunity to serve, to grow, and to be more than you thought you could ever be.
Purpose in your life has a higher meaning than just you:

Married? Your purpose is now two. Add a set of in-laws and extended family and your purpose grew.

Children? Your purpose grows again, with a new level and dimension that invites legacy into your purpose.

Live with intentionality, never losing the idea of being purpose driven in everything you do.

Prayer

SUMMARY

Prayer is a communication made between the human being and a superior power, GOD.
Human beings send prayers to an all-knowing, all-loving God in hope and faith that he’ll answer those prayers.
Think about: “Does God hear and listen to my prayers?”
How do you pray?

Standardized prayers, like ‘Our Father’ or free, unstructured prayer

If prayer hasn’t been natural for you, give it a try.

Open your mouth and let words pour out; address God and ask Him to be in your life.

Never, ever be afraid to praise Him or ask Him through your petitions.
Take arrows off yourself, point them outward by praying for others daily.
Prayers of reconciliation, petition, thanksgiving, praise and glory allow you to free your soul and your mind.

Another phrase to adopt is ‘love them where they’re at’.

The Biggest Obstacle I Had to Overcome to Become an E5 Leader

SUMMARY

The obstacle that gave me the most difficulty, that I had to overcome, was finances. I didn’t understand them; didn’t have respect for money.
I was good at making money, but bad at hanging onto it. I didn’t know what to do for long-term, legacy, and proper investment.
It was hard for me to go to financially successful people who hadn’t achieved balance in life and let them help me.
I had to find a mentor who had 10 years of financial success, ‘fruit on his/her tree’ and who invested personally in what he/she was selling.
To seek mentorship and listen to people who knew money and understood finance, though they didn’t understand some other things in life was something I had to overcome.

The Power of Delayed Gratification

Delayed gratification is the practice of denial, detachment, or removal from something that you want.
Waiting to eat cookies until after dinner is a simple example of delayed gratification.
‘Waiting to achieve’ is another form of delayed gratification when other priorities take precedent.
Delayed gratification is important because it’s a form of discipline.
Accomplishing a dream or a goal requires discipline to achieve. Keep in mind that part of that discipline is delayed gratification.
Practicing delayed gratification allows for a better life, a better lifestyle, peace and harmony.

The Reasons Why Habits Determine Your Success

We learn habits They are environmental and can be taught.
What inputs do you put into your mind to create habits?
We can have a habit on how we think.
It takes about 21 days to create a habit. As you repeat an action often enough, it becomes engrained and part of your natural thought process.
To change a habit, start with 21 days. You don’t have to change the rest of your life; just change the little piece at a time. Change another small piece in 21 days and on and on until it is complete.
Look at the habits you have: the ones you like, the ones you may not like, and the ones you want to change. Formulate a game plan to enhance the good and change the others.
Your success is found in your daily habits. What you do every day is where your mind is thinking and where your actions are going.

How to Create a Good Conflict Resolution Plan

Certain temperaments are prone to conflict and certain temperaments are not.

A choleric person looks forward to the conflict, whereas a phlegmatic person wants peace at all cost.

Everyone will run across conflict. You need a good resolution plan.
It’s a process:

~Agree to disagree.

~Recognize that the other person’s feelings and/or point of view is valid.

~Serve each other with the idea of creating peace and harmony.

~ Agree the issue can be resolved.

Another type of conflict needing resolution: internal

Look inside and project yourself as a third party.

Talk with a mentor/friend and listen to them with an open heart.

Have your mentor/ friend hold you accountable.

Resolving interior conflict gives you clarity.
